Black Skies: On the Wings of Time

Black Skies is Tim Herzog on drums, Michelle Temple on bass,flute & vocals and Kevin Clark on keyboards, guitar & Vocals.This North Carolina based trio have released their third effort with On the Wings of Time, again full of heavy riffing and dark atmospheric music. The whole album is full of the same type of music and there's not much variety, which was the case with previous releases. Kevin Clark still is not completely on key, and even the choruses sung by both Kevin & Michelle just don't work and are unappealing.

There is a market for this music I am very sure, but for me this album is monotonous. The only track that could please me was "Weightless", though this song is a little off as far as the rest of the album goes, as it is a lightweight acoustic piece. It is not sublime but still I found it easing my mind during the listening sessions.
