Zakk Wylde & Black Label Society do have a more sensitive side and are sharing it with you on their latest Holiday Ep, Glorious Christmas SongsThat Will Make Your Black Label Heart Feel Good (eOne Music). This offering is comprised of 3 instrumental holiday songs; "I'll Be Home ForChristmas", "Oh Little Town of Bethlehem" and "It's A Wonderful World", all finding BLS in a much unlike BLS mode, bringing things down and being quite reflective.

Zakk lends piano/keyboards, acoustic guitar and a soft lead guitar touch to all 3 tracks filled with some quaint bluesy phrasing and Zakk like noodling."I'll Be Home For Christmas" is simply Zakk Wylde being Zakk Wylde, with him softly ripping it up over a music bed of a holiday standard. Zakk throws in electric and acoustic abuse throughout the 3 tracks here and gives his little spin on these classics.

Rockers these songs are not, but nice holiday fodder they are. BLS tosses out these 3 little diddies for you and yours to enjoy throughout the sometimes stressful holiday season in a way that that you might not expect from them, all the while having that Zakk Wylde & BLS stamp on it, even though not exactly a Metal stamp, but hell it is for Christmas. BLS and Zakk fans will want to give this Ep a spin. The Ep features some really nice, subdued Zakk Wylde guitar running throughout and he does stuff in some of his patented runs in there too, so guitar fans will be happy for Christmas too.
