Red Fist Revolution: The Fall of Goliath

Red Fist Revolution has created a 4-D audio-visual experience with The Fall of Goliath. This project even includes a manifesto against the multi – national corporate giants, summarized as 'Goliath'. "This Revolutionary rock-opera combines elements of live music, video storytelling, and the pageantry one would expect in a Broadway musical" (http://redfistrevolution.com/the-fall-of-goliath/, 2011). The music ranges from straight ahead rock, punk, prog, and even some new wave sounds. The story follows the hero Chrysalis' journeys throughout the story.

The first track, 'Down in the Valley' gets things off to a fast start. '30 Pieces', with its Roger Waters/Pink Floyd/Wall, megaphone like sound brings back memories of that classic. 'Working Class Automation' and 'Time of Change', with their supporting female vocals are a refreshing change in the production. 'Pound' has a punchy Led Zeppelin guitar flex that will bring back memories. 'New Jerusalem' is the best of the tracks and the female vocals truly help put the finishing touches on this story.

This is definitely a political manifesto set to music, so if you don't like the politics, this may not be for you. If you just listen to the music it is full of different sounds set to upbeat tempos. A great mix of varied rhythms, genres and sounds.
