Three Thirteen: Full Tilt

First Off, these guys spent some time to make themselves a pretty damn cool CD package, but I'm NOT sure how one Mr. Gene Simmons hasn't found a way to sue the crap outta Three Thirteen. From the total cop of the KISS logo font, ALL OVER the CD package, to the really cool actual CD being black & looking like a real vinyl record with the CD label looking EXACTLY like the old Casablanca Records label, I wouldn't be surprised to read about a pending lawsuit from Dr. Love. In the mean time, these guys are fucking cool!

From the 70's and 80's looking CD cover art depicting an old school pinball machine back glass to the very tongue in check delivery, Three Thirteen are one hell of a party. If you are into bands like The Hellacopters,Motorhead or The Unband, you will totally eat these guys up. Part campy, part straight up Hard Rock n Roll, this trio unleashes the fury with a helluva lot of fun. Songs on this 9 track CD like "Skool Daze", "Blaster","Full Tilt" and "Living In Stereo" are just too much sleazy fun to listen to. The songs are all just so catchy, loose and FUN and not one of them is over 5 minutes long. Everything is very high energy with a very "Indie"type of vibe that is very much infectious with some really excellent musical performances throughout. These guys can play!

Very much in the "Lo-Fi" Garage Band genre, Three Thirteen just song after song bring the party to you that if you weren't drinking or smoking (something) before you pressed play, you soon will be. Did I mention how much fun these guys were? The only real bad thing about this record is that there are only 9 tracks to blast through. I defy you to not have a good time listening to this record. It is just impossible. Fun, great cover art, cool tunes and a great delivery will just leave you wanting more.

Oh, and they even give you some stickers in the package! Who doesn't love stickers! Man, do I feel like a teenager back in the '80's listening to this. This record rocks!!
