Bown, Andy: Unfinished Business

A member of Status Quo since the mid-70's keyboard player and multi-instrumentalist Andy Bown has taken more than 30 years to release Unfinished Business, his sixth solo album. Bown's musical heritage can be traced back to the 60's when he was a member of The Herd (playing alongside Peter Frampton) and one of the more remarkable aspects of his CV is that he took Roger Waters role in the surrogate band on the original Wall shows of 80/81. In what has been a diverse career Bown would go on to appear on both The Final Cut and The Pros And Cons of Hitch-Hiking alongside his numerous session appearances with Jerry Lee Lewis, Paul McCartney and many others. Indeed it is this that provides the lyrical inspiration for the anthemic "When The Lights Went On" with Bown reflecting back on his career high points from Live Aid to The Wall and beyond.

Titles such as "A Good Innings" and "Right as Ninepence" are as English as strawberries and cream and it all makes for a pleasant sounding album of workmanlike blues rock. Bown's voice is solid enough and whilst he is clearly no frontman he is more than capable of penning lyrics containing plenty of whimsy and charm. It may have taken him thirty years to get around to completing this particular bit of business but Andy Bown has been present at some of the milestones of Rock's long history and for this alone he has to be admired.

My Score:

Hi. I would like to continue the previous commenter's thought and add that business is not such a simple task. It can take more than ten years to develop. The main thing is to know where to make investments. For myself, I made up my mind and made them in precious metals - gold bullion https://www.pacificpreciousmetals.com/product/3314-10g-australian-perth-mint-gold-bar-minted. Gold has always been, is and will be in value, and its value is increasing every day. For myself, I do not consider a quick sale and am willing to wait years. Historically, it is the most common form of wealth accumulation.
