This is one of those records that could best be described as, "interesting," rather than say, "engaging." With a fluid jam feel about the music and literary veteran Pete Simonelli providing the spoken words layered over the top Blown Realms and Stalled Explosions can be a difficult, sometimes even distracting listen. It's certainly a record that demands the listener's attention as it is in no way a casual listen.
Being honest, after my initial listen I e-mailed Our Publisher Peter Pardo and told him how awful this album is but repeated listens have revealed a certain ethereal beauty especially on my favourite track "Career-Minded Individual" which, to use the cliché, is worth the price of admission on its own.
