Cry Havoc to me is a loud shout from the medieval warlord leading his soldiers into battle. One thing about the music on this effort of Destrophy is true about that. It is steaming hot. Beware not to be scalded, burned or melted down by this just 32 minutes of sheer power music. To put the music in a box is very difficult. I know some might call this plain Hard Rock, but you could call it guitar core.
Destrophy exsist since 2002 and have created a name for themselves as one of the hardest working live acts around in the Midwest. Their live reputation is one of high acclaim and has led them to sign a record deal with Victory Records. Releasing their world wide debut in 2009 and now with Cry Havoc they are presenting their sophomore CD.
Listening to Destrophy's Cry Havoc gave me a hint to a seventies song which describes the music, which is the Scorpions "SteamRock Fever" . You cannot sit still when playing Destrophy, and if that weren't enough you keep wanting to turn up the volume of the stereo even if it is already at maximum level. The pounding drums, heavy riffing and anthem type singing really will have an impact on you for sure.
After 32 minutes you keep asking for more, well my adviceis, go see them live,as that must be an awesome experience after absorbing the music.
