Vacuum Tree Head: Discotech MM2

This is a "collection of material recorded between 1993 and 2011". "The first four tracks previously appeared on various compilations, including a remix/reedit of the Sun Ra medley "The Call" that appeared on a tribute record which Gino Robair's Rastascan Records released". "Tracks five and six are things that Vacuum Tree Head self-released as limited edition CD singles, including "Tar'Hai Wizard", an audio homage to the great artist Jean "Moebius" Giraud". "Tracks seven through ten are previously unreleased studio cuts, including a recording that was begun recording in 2001 in San José, and finished in 2011 in Brooklyn. Lots of really cool stuff".

"With HMS Waldron, Thomas Scandura, Sylvia Gordon, Moe Staiano, Michael Mellender, Ron Anderson, Charles Lloyd and many, many more" (http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/vacuumtreehead2, 2011).

Interesting sound effects and noises with some musical sounds mixed in. A wild collection of post punk sounds that will definitely shake up your record collection. There are some cool effects on "Tar' Hai Wizard", which might take you back to Pink Floyd's early days. "Nora Barbarossa", kinda sounds like a march of the multiple instruments and noises. "Prelude to Pekpek" has some cool guitar and drums. "Nights of Horesback Salad" has some cool chimes, sitar sounds, and female vocals.

Overall, this gets a 3 out of 5 for pure raw experimentation alone.
