Bled, The: Pass The Flask

More commercially-inflected rage than you can shake a stick at, more sartorial flare than your average music critic and a sleeve design that proves one of the more memorable things about this ten-song release. It's not horrifically awful. But, on the whole, it's not anything that hasn't been done (better) by the likes of Haste and a hundred other bands who've taken the once highly-unfashionable growls and dissonant guitars of death metal and placed them in the dorm room, right next to a Budweiser poster. (And what's up with lapsing into The Cure every now and again?) For metal novices only.
