From Guatemala City in Guatemala come Dread the Forsaken. A hardcore, heavy Metal band. The singer is an American and goes by the name of Gorgon Tittsworth. The other three members of DTF are Mauricio Liborio(guitars), Vinnie Perez(drums) and Mako(bass).
The general feel of this album is one of melodic heavy metal, with nifty drumming, fast guitars, heavy riffing, catchy hooks, nice meoldy lines, and a singer seemingly having a good time. He sound joyful all the Time.
Still I think this album needs a different production approach, This music has it in itself to sound very powerful, and it does at times, but every now and again I hear absolutely no bass and the drums have a very thin sound.
The set of songs are very strong and of high potential, the singing is well done, although I think they need a voice that is more raw like the music
There 's a whole bunch of names we could compare these boys to, with Mudvayne and Godsmack to name two of them. The music is good, production, well OK, sounds as if it was mixed and produced for a vinyl set rather than a CD. The songs themselves really make up for this a lot.
