Composed of members from established acts such as: Secrets of the Moon, Temple of Baal and Arkhon Infaustus, Hell Militia is crawling back with its sophomore release. On this new CD, Hell Militia presents eight new compositions, along with a CG Alin cover. The concept behind this album is quite simply based around death as a lifelong accomplishment. All we did was in vain; all we gained was miserable. In short, an unhappy story with an unhappy ending.
Musically speaking, we have a black metal soundscape of a nightmarish and twisted nature. After the introductory speech on the drug addiction nightmare, follows a series of black metal anthems. Although fast paces are often resorted to, the moderate ones are also gracing the scenery occasionally. The distorted guitars abound to create the right degree of intensity that goes along with the conceptual album. Twisted and wicked moments are also found in the vocals as well as in the background, perhaps being made by keyboards or crafty guitar playing. No bad tunes to be heard on this release. Songs like: "Born Without Light", "The Ultimate Deception", "The Pig that Became God" and the title track are just plain mad black metal tunes that will fulfill your twisted needs.
Last Station on the Road to Death is another nice black metal release from Debemur Morti.
