Disiplin: Radikale Randgruppe

Until a very short time ago I thought I had already heard the worst records in history, namely Sexual Savior by Killsmith and the eponymous album by Polish industrial outfit Mothernight but now here comes another contender. Make no doubt about it; Norway's Disiplin have come up with a real stinker. Disiplin are led by guitarist/vocalist General K (aka Haakon Forwald, ex-Myrkskog and Diseection) so it would appear that pedigree-wise some bases are covered.

Whilst I appreciate that Disiplin are working generically in noise/industrial/black metal areas but there's no excuse for the mess that is Radikale Randgruppe. Not only is it frankly unlistenable in every way (terrible "sings" and awful , muddy production) but it also clocks in at over an hour long. Gee thanks.

There's precious little coherence going on during most tracks, at times it sounds like the drums are from a different song than the rest of the instruments, it really is that horrific. It's possible that General K and his cohorts were genuinely trying to make the most challenging album of all in time and if that's the case they may well have succeeded.

Track listing:
1. Nuclear Catharsis (2:03)
2. Me Ne Frego (6:18)
3. Triarii (6:33)

6. Radikale Randgruppe (3:20)
7. Soldier of the Black Sun (4:47)
8. The Golden Age (8:00)
9. Exile (5:06)
10. The Empire (15:04)
