Shadow Condition appears to lurk, well, in the shadows. Very few details about this independent metal band can be found online. Csaba Vegso wrote the songs on Sign of the Times, Shadow Condition’s full-length debut, and he also played bass and guitars while recruiting three different singers to handle vocal duties. Lex Thunder is abrasive and thrashy, while Michel Hoogerverst and Craig Cairns have greater range but sound similar to each other.
This is serrated, anxious and fiery progressive metal. The 13 songs here, while well played and executed with gusto and passion, lack staying power. They’re either fast and furious or plodding and redundant. Cool cover, though.
