Black Witchery: Inferno of Sacred Destruction

The unholy horde is stepping back with their third venomous release, Inferno of Sacred Destruction.

Don't expect anything closely related to overproduced and easy to listen black metal. This is as wicked as the artwork of the covert suggests. The raw production does not bear the cold & frozen edge of some of the best underground solo act out there either. Their rawness comes from the shy distorted guitars, upfront bass, drums and vocals. A lot of this work is based on furious and brutal deathly black metal weaponry. Not too much of a variation is felt from one song to the other, except maybe in the riffing. The vocals are interesting though, being very wicked and beastie too. Then comes the best parts on this album: the short instrumentals. They pop in once in a while to separate the relentless episodes. They contain samplings and devilish voices. Opening track and "Intromancy" are good examples of this. The title track is perhaps the overall best composition here. It contains the ambient samplings, some crunchiness and the usual fast parts, making it the most varied and "mature" song.

Inferno of Sacred Destruction is far from being a "must have" release by all means. It is just another sub-par product from Hells Headbangers.
