NewsGANDALF'S FIST’S OWN LABEL SIGN AGILE THUMB DEBUT EP RELEASED 17th APRIL

Posted on Tuesday, April 12 2022 @ 21:15:23 CDT by Steven Reid
Progressive Rock Nightkeeper Productions - the Label set up and ran by UK Progressive Rock Band, Gandalf’s Fist - have signed up their first external act to their roster and are set to release new music from Agile Thumb over Easter.

Agile Thumb, a perplexing four-piece progressive rock outfit based a stone’s throw from Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes, have been signed up by Medieval Space Rock Wizards, Gandalf’s Fist to their own label for the release of their debut EP, EDOCESROM.

The EP is currently available for Pre-Order Digitally via Agile Thumb’s Official Bandcamp Page and is set to be released as early as the 17th April.

Dean Marsh, guitarist and for Gandalf’s Fist, and CEO of Nightkeeper Productions, commented: “We absolutely fell in love with the mysterious nature of Agile Thumb and were already somewhat familiar with their sound. We could see a lot of ourselves in their DNA, so when we heard they were looking for a label to release their debut E.P. we jumped at the opportunity!”

Agile Thumb started life as a psychedelic Funk Trio known as the obscure “Pinto Johnson Memorial Assembly”, in 2018 and since then led an enigmatic existence working on their own unique brand of perplexing soundscapes which twist and turn musically in unexpected ways.

Robert Black, lead vocalist for Agile Thumb, remarked further: “We’d like to thank the guys from the Fist for signing us up to their label - it’s an honour to be the first band to do so and we think existing fans of Gandalf’s Fist will be sure to find our stuff to be up their street - exciting times ahead… hopefully they don’t reverse their decision any time soon!”

Meanwhile, unphased by their new duties as label bosses, Gandalf’s Fist themselves continue to work hard on their 8th full length album, following up their previous 5-Disc “Clockwork Saga”, which they also plan to release later this year.
