Progressive Rock HANS LUNDIN (of Kaipa):

03/2021 Out in the digital world now, the 3 Solo Albums from HANS LUNDIN of KAIPA.

This month sees the digital release of HANS LUNDINs Solo Albums from 1984 to 1989, all remastered and first time available on iTunes, Amazon Music, Spotify, Applemusic , ...

Very much dominated by the Keyboard and Synthesizer Sounds of the 1980s technology, HANS LUNDIN was always up to date with his music. “Synthesizers were the future and they had developed tremendously during those years. I spent a lot of time creating my own sounds, especially with ring modulation that created personal sounds with a flair of bells and a metallic timbre. On TALES I used Yamaha CS-60 and Prophet 5 synthesizers while on VISIONS OF CIRCLES OF SOUNDS I had substituted the Prophet 5 with the new Yamaha DX7. I also used as well a Yamaha CP-70 Electric Grand Piano.” (Hans Lundin 2019)

‘Tales’ (1984) was the first solo Album. It was following the split of KAIPA after their last tour in December 1982 and completely composed, played and produced by HANS LUNDIN in 1983 and release in Sweden in 1984 on Vinyl. ‘Visions Of Circles Of Sounds’ (1985) sees the return of former KAIPA guitarist Max Ahman on two tracks, as well as long time fellow Ulf Wallander for a Saxophone solo. At the end of the decade ‘Houses’ (1989) is the final solo album by HANS LUNDIN where original KAIPA founding member ROINE STOLT plays guitar on one track.

Previously to the digital release now, all three REMASTER albums have been released on CD in 2019, as part of a Limited 6 CD Box from HANS LUNDIN called ‘The Solo Years’. This Box includes the three Solo Albums, two of them for the first time on CD, plus 3 CDs with previously unreleased music. The Box was limited to 1000 units only and about 350 of these boxes are still available from the record stores and specialized mail orders, by today.

Videotrailer Box:

Video: Slottsskogen Goes Progressive Festival, Gothenburg 2007

Sadly we have no video for RITUALs ‘Glimpes from The Story of Mr. Bogd’ EP but suddenly, in November 2020, this nice live video appeared from a Festival in 2007. The video is a little asynchronous, but it was a good performance of RITUAL.

Third Video FUCHS

3rd Video FUCHS live 2020 is out now. Not many Prog-Bands will have a live album that was recorded AND released in the pandemic year 2020. Neo-Proggers IQ and FUCHS have that. While the IQ January show in Aschaffenburg / Germany was filmed and put on CD, FUCHS did the same with their concert 1st of February in Stuttgart / Germany. Three Videos of that concert have appeared on Youtube, the Album from that event is called ONE LIVELY DECADE. (P.s. I am so lucky, I was at both concerts, Dirk!)

3rd video FUCHS live 2020 “Are You With Me?”

Hits: 213
