Uncooperative Death: Uncooperative Death

From the offset this is a great name for a band and congers up no end of situations where you would find yourself being responsible for an UNCOOPERATIVE DEATH, it left me chuckling for ages. Playing metal a la thrash, these canny Canadians have direction in abundance however fall a little short in the technicality department. The songs and ideas are there but this comes across sounding more like a demo than a full-blown album. It does have some stunning riffs and enough aggression to get you in the pit but just requires that little bit of polish for it to stand up against the likes of 'Cancer Bats & Lamb of God'. Uncooperative Death have a lot of promise the problem is that this genre is packed out with some top drawer acts and you really need to make that first impression stick, cream will rise to the top and the rest will sink, only time will tell how cooperative they want to be.
