Now here is a band that is sure to impress fans of classic metal. Do you miss early Metallica? Then check out German metal band Viron-Ferrum Gravis is their second release and an impressive one, full of great riffs and lots of tempo changes. The CD starts out with the lively "Liberator", which like many tracks on here has some interesting instrumental sections. Next up is the mid tempo "On The Run". This was the first track of Viron's I had ever heard and made me want to get a copy of this CD. "Isle of Man" is the next rocker and has one of the catchiest riffs on the album. The next six songs all have something to offer, and there is even a ballad called "War" with the emphasis being on vocalist Alexx Stahl. Ferrum Gravis ends with the epic called "Sniper" clocking in at over 11 minutes and it doesn't disappoint. Viron may not be the most original band but Ferrum Gravis should appeal to anyone who likes well played classic metal. So get yourself a copy and turn it up as this music was meant to be played loud.
