Various Artists: Return To The Dark Side Of The Moon A Tribute To Pink Floyd

There really should be a law preventing these kinds of assault on the sanctity that is a "classic" album. It is one thing to respectfully offer a live performance of a classic in the fashion of say a Dream Theater, or to do a tribute that covers a classic bands entire catalogue, but this kind of exercise, no matter how well performed just smacks of cash grab. Compounding the insult is the fact that several of the tunes are resurrected from previously released projects by Mr. Billy Sherwood. Remember the 2004 All Star Line-up Performing The Songs Of Pink Floyd that was issued both on CD and DVD "with stunning visuals"? Four tracks here are culled from that release with some minor modifications. Anyone else buy that DVD? "Stunning visuals"? Bollocks…..
