A nice follow-up to the first volume from earlier this year, though missing some of the vibrancy that made that outing sing with delight. Double Heart Project fumbles around but doesn't really connect with "Hardcase," though Torben Enevoldsen gives a fine turn with "Beyond Compare" and Patrik Carlsson plays beautifully on "Barnard's Castle." Jon Paget's "Song For Shawn" is nice, while Richard Daude's "From The Inside" simply shreds. Still, the feeling prevalent on the first batch never emerges and the disc feels disjointed. Of course, even though this second act has got its flaws it still shines above many first acts out there today.
