Bells of Awakening is the new 7" from US traditional metallers Visigoth, containing two new tracks meant to whet the appetite for their fans until their next full length release. Things kick off with the anthemic "Fireseeker", a galloping monster of a track with a kick ass chorus, tasty guitar riffs, and excellent lead & backing vocals. This one has a great hook and is easily one of the most accessible tunes the band have written to date. "Abysswalker" follows, a heavier, speedier track, European power metal influences running wild, with potent drums driving machine gun riffing and soaring vocals from Jake Rogers. Plenty of sizzling twin harmony guitars to be found here as well.
So there you have it, not quite 10 minutes of vintage styled metal mayhem from Visigoth, but it's solid all the way and sure to get everyone geared up for their next full length.
