Witch Vomit: Poisoned Blood

Go ahead and admit it: you might listen to Witch Vomit just to unnerve people. The name rolls off the tongue—and will certainly leave some people blinking and speechless. Is there really a band called Witch Vomit? Yes, and this is their latest release. They're also pretty good. The band hails from Portland, Oregon and their music is harsh, heavy, and intense. Fans of Carnage, Autopsy, Demigod, and other, similar, bands will feel at home with this release. The band also suggests that fans of the film Re-Animator will like them. I agree.

There's only about 20 minutes of music here but it packs a punch. I loved the opening "Intro" because of the way it blended sound effects with a strong blast of music. Some introductions go on too long or put the sound effects over the music. This one gets the balance right and shows us what this band is. The rest of the songs are taking straight from classic black metal, complete with a mix that blends it all together in a heavy, violent, soup. I enjoyed what I heard and recommend at least the first three tracks.

Track Listing:
1. Intro
2. Doomed in the Realm of the Dead
3. Circle of Blood
4. Accursed Temple of the Great Deceiver
5. Fevers of Torment
