GRIT: Live at Kramus Deluxe Studio

GRIT is a French hard rock band with a brand new debut three song EP titled Live at Kramus Deluxe Studio. What you get is catchy energetic heavy rock with some alternative bits but most importantly with a punk rock attitude similar to The Ramones. These guys would certainly be fun to hear in a concert setting. The vocals are really catchy and melodic and the guitar riffs laced with distortion and feedback as well as being totally addictive. The songs are short and do not vary too much from one another but the catchiness and the addictive riff progressions along with some effective synth work, most notable in the first track "G.FY." keeps the short song cycle from burning out. We will just have to wait to hear what the band sounds like over an entire album's worth of songs but for now it's a very respectable 3.5 stars.
