Necrot is an old-school death metal band that plays music inspired by the best of Bolt Thrower, Entombed, Grave, Discharge, and too many others to mention. To keep the music underground, the band only releases short demos on cassette that quickly sell out and become impossible to find. This CD collects three of those out-of-print demos, giving eight tracks a wider audience. I'm not sure how much more music is out there, but I hope there's a lot more. This is old-school death metal played with freshness, energy, and plenty of speed. From track to track, the riffs are heavy, the vocals ferocious, and the heaviness visceral. Check out "Into the Labyrinth" and "Scattered."
