Swedish retro hard rockers Horisont want to make sure we have a little new music to savor before their next full-length, so here's a short 2 song EP to tide their growing fans over till that's ready. "Break the Limit" is a very cool song, full of Thin Lizzy inspired twin guitar madness and plenty of proto-metal riffing in the grand tradition of Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Budgie. Axel's vocals are also spot on, his high pitched register soaring during this upbeat heavy rocker. "Yellow Blues" is also quite enjoyable, taking Led Zeppelin styled metallic blues rock to another level, the riffs crunchy, the rhythms busy, and the pace blistering. Cool little synth passage to lead the song in as well. Both tunes here are instantly memorable, but at 8-minutes of music it's over before you know it, and you'll be left wanting more. Their next album can't come quick enough!
