DangerEgo: Autopsy

DangerEgo are a Hard Rock band that hails from Italy and the band have re-released their album, Autopsy, this time to an international audience that they weren't able to reach the firstt time around. Autopsy is a 10 track CD that features Hard Rock in the vein of GnR or Alter Bridge with undertones of Stoner/Alterative Rock, as well.

Tunes are straight ahead Rock n Roll and delivered with a vocal flair by singer, Flavio Angelini, who coaxes the most out of his expressive performances. Songs like, "Light or Darkness" feature a tight and pulsating riff that leads into a big, memorable hooky chorus and "Hell's Rage" offers up another piece of big sounding Hard Rock, while a song like "Wings of Freedom" shows a more textural side and is laced with keyboards and shows a more complex side of songwriting that the band is capable of and is truly a standout track.

Autopsy is solid re-release by DangerEgo, with production that sounds quite spacious and full. Even though first released in 2011, Autopsy still sounds fairly fresh and fans of melodic Hard Rock might find themselves digging this record. Overall, this is a pretty good listen.
