Here we have some very old school styled death metal from the new band of ex-Morbid Angel bassist/vocalist Steve Tucker. Though Warfather is somewhat of a strange name, Orchestrating the Apocalypse is anything but, as the band, which features Tucker on guitar & vocals, bassist Avgvstvs, guitarist Armatura, and drummer Deimos, delivers crushing, riff driven death metal that sounds like it was unearthed from the early '90s. Other than the occasional choral interlude that pops up from time time (like on the otherwise killer "My Queen Shall Not Be Mourned" or the raging "The Shifting Poles") there's just bludgeoning ferocity at every corner, driven home by savage guitar riffs and pulverizing drum blasts. "Waltz of the Solstice" and "Ageless Merciless" are simply unrelenting examples of brutal death metal, with Tucker's menacing growls just destroying everything in sight. In short, if you like Tucker's former band, as well as say Behemoth, Vader, Immolation, and Nile, then make sure you investigate this one.
