Tigertailz: Knives

There was a brief moment in time, about twenty-five years ago when it looked like the world was there for the taking by Welsh glam rockers Tigertailz. Obviously this never came to pass and the band have split, reformed, lost a drummer in less-than-friendly circumstances and worst of all bassist Pepsi Tate died of pancreatic cancer in September 2007. Now with a line-up of Jules Millis - lead vocals, Jay Pepper – guitars / vocals, Rob Wylde – bass / vocals and Matt Blakout – drums they return to the fray with a perfectly serviceable EP.

Yes, there genuinely is a song called "Shoe Collection" (as in, "I need to steal your shoe collection.)This, like much of Tigertailz' output is a fun, sing along song whereas "One Life" is slower, more balladic and features the almost obligatory whoa-ohs so beloved of the genre. "Bite the Hand" is nicely scuzzy and metallic whilst "Spit it Out" and "Punched in the Gutz" both indicate that if this version of the band stays together the future will be worth paying attention to.
