Valor: The Yonder Answer

"The Journey begins
As I lay onto the Earth that I call bed
And wait for the moon to turn to sun
My eyes are heavier now a mist is in my head
And I know my journey has begun…"

And so goes the introduction to the engaging new release from the band Valor. That release is The Yonder Answer where the Greek epic heavy metal band are sounding so imposing. The Yonder Answer is a spirited metal recording and this is one band that know how to successfully write and record terrific songs.

The Yonder Answer is the third recording from Valor after they formed the group in 2002. Now that they have a new label Valor should receive the recognition that their material deserves, and establish themselves as a name that stands for quality metal.

Valor start out in high spirits on "The Answer's Yonder" as the band gets its metal on. It should also be noted the bass features strongly in the mix which adds to songs like "Crossroads" and "One Hand Red". "Bravest" gives a brief atmospheric breather which leads us to the most catchy "Choices". Galloping metal features on "Human" mixing up the feel of the album. To the finale of The Yonder Answer and the track "Inner Nature" which is so inviting thanks to that cool guitar groove. Plus with a punchy feel from drums and bass as they provide the propulsion for this enjoyable conclusion to the album while the keyboard and guitar solos serve to elevate the appeal.

Valor have put the work in that is more than evident on the melodic heavy metal of The Yonder Answer. This release has so much to offer the more I listen the more I'm hooked and that artwork is also pretty cool as Valor really have released a complete package.
