Victorian Halls: Charlatan

Pop, Punk, and Rock. The band themselves they call this making gleaming, crystalline, pop gems being worked about with an axe. Might be a weird description of ones music but nevermind that. it fits the package very well.

Going through the album with weird titles and lyrics, all the compositions are easy going, constructed to grab you in the very first second you listen to the music. Sometimes on the edges of Punk, then going to Noise- core in the next song. I cannot say all songs are equally brilliant or good but certainly worth a listen, but you better have strong nerves as Victorian Halls bounce from left to right from top to bottom. Never to let you sit still for a moment. The vocals remind me a bit of Mars Volta vocals, with the same pitch.

As a whole a very entertaining rock/pop/ punk/noise- core album. You will get what you want or you won't with this one, there is no middle way possible.
