Brainstorm: On The Spur Of The Moment

From the very start you get the feeling this is going to be something special, building into that sublime riff and then that voice…..Andy B Franck has the power metal voice that could flatten skyscrapers. 'Below The Line' chugs on with a simple but catchy riff and includes some guitar solos that Queensryche once produced and can now only dream of. The pace is kept emphatic throughout and the sheer majesty of these German power metal masters ebbs through every orifice. If you're a fan of Russell Allen's supreme lung power then On The Spur Of The Moment is right up your street, 'Dark Life', 'No Saint- No Sinner' and album climax 'My Own Hell' are power metal, fist pumping, overtures of delight. This album came as a complete surprise to me and thankfully it has not been off my playlist for quite some time. Do yourselves a favor and grab this multilayered, metal master class which demands to be turned up to eleven.
