Weinstein, Mark: Jazz Brasil

Mark Weinstein is a jazz flute playing master. This latest effort takes him through some cool Brazilian influenced music.

Fast piano and drums open "I Mean You" before Mark joins in to add the jazz flute. The piano percussion and drums do a great job building a pounding rhythm which Mark winds his way through perfectly with the jazz flute.

Despite the title, "Triste" is full of light happy flute and piano set to a fun danceable beat. The percussion keeps a nice cool rhythm.

Nice percussion and piano mixed with Mark's flute opens "Nefertiti" in grand fashion. The piano, percussion, and bass work well to develop the full range of sound on this song.

"Brazil" is a wonderful, slow awakening in the jungle, filled with percussion and flute, before the beat picks up with bass, piano, and drums.

Slow piano opens the classic sounding "Ruby My Dear". Mark's deeper sounding flute enters the soundscape to slowly add dimension to the sound. The drums and percussion help cushion the sound well.

The dancing keys and flute play an intricate melody on "Sambosco".

"Dawn's Early Light" is a nice slow smooth jazz relaxer filled with great piano.

Cool bass and a bluesy flute fills the air on "Memphis Underground".

Slow soft piano and Mark's slow jazz flute fills the soundscape on "If You Never Come to Me".

"Isotope" opens with Mark's flute, drums and that great piano.
