British progressive rock band Gandalf's Fist have announced their new studio album, Gōshollow, and opened pre-orders today (9 September 2026) ahead of a release on 6 November. The UK-based Prog-Rock Wizards, formed in 2005, have built a devoted following over eight studio albums and several acclaimed rock operas, with 2022's Widdershins earning a 9/10 review from DPRP, 2016’s The Clockwork Fable allying former members of Iron Maiden with Actors from Gremlins, and 2014's A Forest of Fey named among Classic Rock Magazine's best prog albums of that year.
Gōshollow expands the narrative universe the band began with their festive singles “Winter's Mourning” and “Witchwood”, both of which appear on the album in remastered form alongside seven new tracks. The record follows the story of a woodland cursed by a broken bargain, a manor lord turned into a vengeful spirit, a Frost Mage who claims a soul each winter, and a village that cuts too deep into the forest for its own good...
The album will be available as a CD Digipak, a strictly limited double vinyl (fewer than 300 copies), and the Woodsman's Tinderbox, a bespoke wooden box engraved by the band, edition limited to under 100 copies, each containing an expanded 24-page booklet.
Gandalf's Fist frontman and guitarist Dean Marsh commented:
“We've gone properly down the rabbit hole with this one. Gōshollow started out as a Christmas singles and somehow turned into an entire cursed winter world, complete with an angry, undead goose. Ben's already down in the workshop literally lazering geese into wooden boxes, and it is every bit as unhinged as it sounds. We can't wait for people to get their hands on it.”
Pre-orders are available now at gandalfsfist.com/goshollow. The Woodsman's Tinderbox and Double Vinyl editions are both strictly limited and expected to sell out as with the Band’s previous vinyl and deluxe editions. Fans can also add an Executive Producer credit to their order, securing their name in the album booklet, available until 21 September 2026. Digital pre-save and download options open in October, ahead of the album's full release on 6 November 2026.
