Black Sabbath's co-founding guitarist, Tony Iommi, has just announced his first solo record in over two decades, From The Dark, will be out this fall via BMG Records. Alongside news of the record is a brand new track, titled, "World Alone," a futuristic, dystopian track that details The Believer, the lead protagonist, being thrown through a twisted video game to try to save his own life. The forthcoming record will see vocalist Jorn Lande and Tony Iommi sharing credits across all songs, as well as drummer Karl Brazil and bassist Becky Baldwin. Iommi, of course, had a hand in producing the record alongside longtime collaborator, Mike Exeter, who managed many of the technical portions of the project such as engineering.

Iommi said that he feels like he's not trying to prove anything: "It's an album we've really enjoyed making. We're not trying to prove anything - it is a great album, it rocks!"
