Heavy Metal

There are few bands that truly depict the spirit and feel of what metal music means to people, but now and again a band emerges from the ashes like a rising phoenix with live performances so intense people drive hundreds of miles to see them. Lifer from South Wales are one such band, take five unassuming humble guys, put them on stage and wait for all hell to break loose!

As their name suggests, Lifer play a down and dirty Southern tinged heavy metal, throw in some Sabbath for the depth and doom and you can pretty much feel the power ebb through your soul. Playing very few gigs, these hardened metal muthas literally plug in and proceed to blow the place apart. Its heavy, sludgy, powerful stomp soon gets the place crammed with the travelling faithful rewarded with a blistering performance.

Trading between solo's and mud heavy rhythm guitars, Lee and Webb are tighter than Axl Roses hot pants from the Illusion era…man that's tight! With Scriv holding the microphone like the front row was going to steal it, he oozes the spirit of Phil Anselmo & Pepper Keenan while injecting his own unique style. 'Nothing Left to Lose' and 'Cursing Them Out' from the album of the same name power through the venue laying waste and blowing long settling cobwebs clean away. You can pretty much guarantee truly incendiary shows from these guys every time they play, playing so few shows gives the gigs that special event feel and with performances this strong the British metal scene is about to get assaulted by the power and excellence of Lifer. Do it today, check these guys out before they become huge, you have been warned!
