  • ASG: Blood Drive. I don't know this band very well, but I reviewed this album a few months ago and I still listen to it all the time. The title track is one of my favorites, as is "Blues for Bama." This is a fun and riffy listen.

  • Death: The Sound of Perseverance. I tend to listen to Death in cycles. I put this album on about two weeks ago and tend to revisit a track or two nearly every day. My current favorite is "Spirit Crusher."

  • X: Make the Music Go Bang! The Best of X. I saw X back when I was a teenager and have always loved their first album Los Angeles. This best-of collection is cool because it not only runs the gamut from their punk music to their softer songs, it also includes a healthy dose of the rockabilly stuff they did for a while.

  • Tom Petty: Wildflowers. I don't know if it's because I'm moving or if I've just been driving a lot lately, but the song "Time to Move On" has been the soundtrack to my life lately.
