Landscape - From The Tea Rooms of the Hellholes of Uranus
Long forgotten electro-synth-pop early 80's masterpiece with lots of prog elements. Landscape were only around for a couple of years but scored a couple of hits with the wacky "Norman Bates" and Einstein A Go Go". Rediscovering this gem thanks to the beauty of Spotify.

Jethro Tull - Too Old To Rock N Roll...
Finally got round to opening this 4 disc package with the obligatory 80 page book. Not one of my faves from Tull but very much a watershed moment in their career by bridging the gap between the prog concept albums and the folk rock era. A really expansive lavish set.

Magnum - Sacred Blood Divine Lies
A band that have gotten better and better with age. Their golden period of the mid 80's...Storytellers Night, Vigilante etc...may be what they will be remembered for but the last few albums starting with Princess Alice and now through to this latest effort have all been 5 star releases.

Dream Theater - The Astonishing
Not sure what I make of this one yet, as Pete Pardo's review says it is impossible to ignore but is a weighty proposition. Time will tell where it ranks in DT's legacy but for now this jury is still out.

Gigs Prog festival in North Wales on the horizon in mid-March with Ian Anderson, Soft Machine, Caravan and Von Hertzen Brothers amongst the star attractions. Patiently awaiting confirmation of the Springsteen River tour of Europe that should have UK dates around the end of May. Jeff Lynne's ELO, the reformed Rainbow and ZZ Top are also in the diary.
