Vivaldi Metal Project: The Extended Sessions
The very last time I heard a four track EP was Great White back in the early 1980's. And like that one Vivaldi Metal Project brings its most passionate performances to keep its audience and new fans in total amazement. The Extended Sessions opens with the epic unplugged ("The Four Seasons Trio Medley studio version) with the beautiful naked voices of singers backed by classical violins and a haunting production.
The second track "Vita Spring #2 Largo is a classical guitar metal extravaganza loaded with riffs bound to make Yngwie jealous (Chris Caffery—Savatage/TSO) and a spooky choir to scare a cemetery on its feet. You can listen to this track with wonderment and awe of its musical breadth and rousing vocals. And then later you can hit the treadmill and workout to this incredibly inspiring piece of musical greatness. It gives you energy and excitement.
The third track "Vita Spring #2 Largo (instrumental) is powerful in its own right sans the vocals of track number two and I truly love following the instruments blaze across you're the speakers. But the I especially love more the vocals that come with the first version of this track. But wow is that guitarist a heavenly gift.
The final track is "The Four Seasons Duo Medley (live)" and features the lush lyrical voice of Tsena Stefanova, a woman with a set of lungs destined to bring Big Opera back into the modern living room. The piano is a powerful centerpiece in this radically different arrangement which makes you wish you were in the audience to listen to this majestic art. Vivaldi Metal Project is the finest example of metal and classic music fusion I have ever heard. They deserve a wider venue to play to better angels that still exist in a confusing world.
