Thornafire: Eclipse Nox Coagula

I love death metal but I have to admit a lot of it isn't very original. Most is either brutal or melodic and 100% of the time the vocals are growled. Granted there is occasionally some originality-Look at some of Opeth's earlier works for proof- but most of the time you know what you are going to get: heavy and brutal music. This is fine as that is exact;y what us death metal heads want. The only question once it has been established that the band falls within the parameters of the death metal genre is whether or not the band writes any good songs. In the case of Chilie's Thornafire the answer is a resounding YES!

The songs on the album are hooky and heavy with all of the songs of the highest quality. This album was made to be cranked up as loud as possible. For those who are into death metal this is a must purchase.
